Lymphoid Papillary Hyperplasia: A Rare, Misleading Tonsillar Condition
Main Article Content
Abstract
Lymphoid papillary hyperplasia (LPH) of the tonsils is an uncommon but an important entity. This benign condition presents with finger-like growths and enlarged follicles, mimicking a tumour, but it is ultimately harmless and curable with tonsillectomy.
Here, we share a case of a 12-year-old girl diagnosed with LPH after undergoing tonsillectomy, highlighting the need for accurate identification to avoid unnecessary further interventions.
